Strengthening skilling and employment through systemic intervention
A cell has been set up in the office of the Chief Minister of Haryana to strengthen the skilling and employment ecosystem in the state. The overall focus of the cell is on creating 2,00,000 employment opportunities in Haryana in the next two years. The key objectives of the program are:
Revamping of processes, organisation structure and technology systems in the state government's recruitment procedures. The focus is making the recruitment procedures smooth, transparent and effective.
Pushing for greater employment in the army for the youth of Haryana. Saksham Haryana Cell coordinates with the army and facilitates conduction of recruitment drives across Haryana to create more employment opportunities.
An assessment based technology platform to connect capable degree college students to placements. The placement platform enables the students to quickly find jobs online. while allowing the organisations to easily recruit individuals.
Revamping and restructuring of existing job fair system of the state to move towards a more efficient and effective model of connecting youth to employment.
Organising the blue collar job market to link job seekers to right opportunity. This is done through technology interventions and high touch mobilisation at local level.
Creation of employment opportunities for individuals by on-boarding them on various job aggregation platforms. Saksham Haryana Cell coordinates between the state and various corporate organisations for this.
Creation of apprenticeship opportunities for the youth. Central government's apprenticeship act is leveraged to encourage both government & private sector companies to hire apprentices.
Encouraging self-employment in youth by promoting central micro-finance scheme - MUDRA. The scheme allows individuals to get a loan for starting their own businesses.
